Gooseham Barton Holiday Cottages General Information

For weekly bookings your accommodation will be ready for you at 4 p.m. on the day of your arrival. Please do not arrive before this time. Please vacate by 10 a.m. on the day of your departure.

Make the most of your short break - arrival and departure times can be by arrangement.

Heating and Electricity is included in the cost of your cottage. The Farmhouse has a central heating system generated by an oil fired Rayburn situated in the kitchen, this also heats the water; there is an immersion heater for backup. There is an open inglenook fireplace in the main lounge, an electric heater in the bathroom. A free standing electric heater is also provided.

The three cottages all have storage heaters, plus free standing and / or electric wall heaters. All cottages have electric heaters in the bathrooms. William Cottage and New Barn also have coal / wood burning stoves.

Logs and coal. During the cooler months the fires will be made up for you or already lit prior to your arrival. A bucket of coal and a bag of logs are supplied free of charge, further supplies can be purchased locally.

Bed Linen & Towels. Duvet covers, sheets and pillow cases are supplied and the beds made up for you. One bath towel and one hand towel per person are provided. also tea towels and kitchen towels. Please bring your own beach towels and large bath towels if required.

Cots can be provided all ready for your baby for a charge of £10 or can be provided free without bedding, you may need to assemble yourself. High chairs available free of charge.

Starter Kit of milk, tea bags, coffee and sugar and biscuits are provided. In the kitchen you will find washing up liquid, hand soap, cleaning equipment, cloths etc. The bathroom and toilet are provided with toilet roll, hand soap, and cleaners.

The Games Room has a pool table, ping-pong and table football, situated close to the cottages it is available for guests to use day time and evenings.

Well behaved dogs are very welcome, at a charge of £20 per week/short break (2nd dog free), 3 dogs £40 (Farmhouse only)
up to two in William Cottage, Norman Cottage, and New Barn. Please do not allow your dogs in the bedrooms or leave unattended for long periods in the cottages please.

A deposit of approximately 1/3 of the total cost of your holiday is to be paid on booking please. The balance is then due 28 days prior to the start date of your holiday. Deposits and final payments are not refundable unless we are able to rebook the cottage. If we are able to make a refund a cancellation fee of £20 will be deducted.

The Cottages are thoroughly cleaned between guests, please leave the cottage clean and tidy on departure and report any serious breakages or problems as soon as possible. Thank you.

Horse Riding is available at our own B.H.S. approved riding centre. English or Western style.
Discount prices for Guests:- £22 per hour, £13 per 1/2 hour, £40 for 2 hours.
